Nor’easter

The worst day for a Nor’easter to descend? December 26. What are the chances that Boston’s first major snowstorm would hit the day I was supposed to fly back.

My flight was canceled a few hours before I was supposed to be at the airport. I got online to rebook the flight, and to my dismay, the flights for the next few days were either sold out or would cost $1,000. Next stop, Amtrak. All of the trains from Rochester to Albany were booked (first leg of trip to Boston). For some reason, I could book a ticket from Syracuse to Albany. Thankfully, my dad is able to drive me an hour and a half to the Syracuse train station. I will get on the train, and take the 10-HOUR RIDE to Boston (driving, it would take 5 hours). Years ago, I swore I would never take the train between Rochester and Boston again, but here I am. Desperate times.

It’s been nice to have a little extra time with the fam, but I am a touch desperate to be back in my little cave with my crazy cat. This city mouse misses the city…
