You Learn By Living

I don’t remember how I heard of Eleanor Roosevelt’s book You Learn By Living. I liked the title, so I reserved it from the library. She offers such simple advice and simple truths about life in the book; I feel like I’m having chats with a wise family elder while reading it. It’s a perfect book to read in the evening before going to bed. Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

“Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one.”

“You must do the things you think you cannot do.”

“Happiness is not a goal, it is a by-product.”
