As of November 1, retailers have deemed it “the holiday season.” I’m still thinking about how it would have been nice to hit the beach another time, and now I’m being told to start thinking about buying holiday gifts?? It’s too much.
Another thing that’s too much = the election. I’m a nervous wreck as it is, and the frantic deluge of emails asking for donations and phone call help IS NOT HELPING. I think I am receiving emails hourly at this point. I’m thankful that I don’t watch much TV; if I did, the political ads would have driven me crazy weeks ago.
In unrelated news, my new actor crush is Romain Duris. I just saw him in The Big Picture. A riveting performance. I’ll be renting his other films.
