More Pie, Please

I’ve tried some delicious savory pies recently. First up was some chicken pie from Thwaites Market. We had gone to West Acton, MA, so I could get my British fix at The Bee’s Knees British Imports. Because there was a kids’ festival happening in town that day, Thwaites Market had its food truck across the street from Bee’s Knees. There were a few varieties available, and Allen and I both settled on chicken pies.

The chicken was solid, but not too exciting. But the crust was great. Someday, I’d like to visit the shop in Methuen, MA, and try some of the more exotic flavors, like cheese and onion or apple pork.

After my shopping spree at Bee’s Knees, we went to Idylwilde Farms for groceries. This an awesome farm stand with a wide variety of gourmet groceries and lovely produce. We came across some Petsi Pies and decided to try a ham, egg, cheese, and dijon mustard pie. It was sooo good. I’m not a huge mustard fan, but the amount of mustard was just right.

I’m about half done with my birthday list, and my birthday is next week! This year has flown by, even though I haven’t done much of anything. I’m looking forward to visiting Wilmington, VT, for my birthday. Hoping to do some hiking and a lot of chilling as I begin a new decade on the back nine of life.
