Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), how do I love thee…

I saw the film Conviction. I believe it was the world premiere…so Hilary Swank, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, Juliette Lewis, and the director and screenwriter were in attendance. The film is based on a true story, and the real people involved were there, too. The whole experience was incredible. I highly recommend this movie! It’s like Erin Brockovich but even more moving because the family bond is involved.

On to the Four Seasons…”the ladies” were there, as usual. We met some new ladies, too. The original ladies’ table was smaller this year, so we were fortunate to be able to migrate to the new ladies’ table.

We didn’t see as many celebs this year, but still saw some good ones. The highlight was Robert Redford, I think. We also saw:

Anthony Hopkins, Minnie Driver, some guy from Grey’s Anatomy, Henry Winkler, Kevin Spacey, Thomas Haden Church, Michael Sheen, Scott Speedman, Shannon Tweed, will.i.am, and Jason and Ivan Reitman. While I was at the movie, the other girls also saw Hayden Christiansen, Will Ferrell, Noah Wylie, and Dev Patel.

Menu prices at the Four Seasons bar (where we roost) were quite outrageous this year. But, we call it “the price of admission.”

I paid:

$18 for a salad that consisted of half a tomato, two slabs of mozzarella, and three basil leaves

$6 for a mini bottle of water

$11 for a Heineken

$8 for one scoop of sorbet

It was totally worth it, to get my annual celebrity fix.
