Jon Hamm. What am I going to do with you.
Jon Hamm is in Ben Affleck’s new movie, The Town. The world premiere of The Town was at TIFF, the night we were in Toronto. Sam, Jen, and I were not feeling up to the film premiere stalking scene. The standing in front of the theater for hours before the actors arrive, squashed in a mosh pit of people. If I’m not in the first or second row, I can’t see a damn thing anyway.
I was hoping that I would catch a glimpse of Jon at the Four Seasons, but the stars were not aligned.
But lucky me, I would get a second chance. At The Town premiere in Boston a few days later.
My friend Mary and I stood outside the entrance of Fenway Park for 2.5 hours last night. By the time Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Blake Lively, Chris Cooper, and Rebecca Hall arrived, it was pitch black out. Argh! And Jon Hamm dissed us! All he did was wave from a billion feet away as he scooted into Fenway.
But it was not all for naught. Ben Affleck slapped Mary’s hand. And I got a photo of him from a very bizarre angle. I swear, it’s Ben Affleck. He and Matt Damon (who was there for moral support—he’s not in the film), were the only two stars who made the rounds with the fans. They have to show the love for their hometown, of course.
