A new year has begun. Which means A) It’s time for a crash diet, as I ate way too many cookies at Christmastime. And B) It’s time to start thinking about the seventh annual birthday list.
I’m off to a good start; I completed the first item on January 1. I was visiting Daisy for her birthday, and we made pasta while I was there. Butternut squash ravioli, to be precise. Although it was a highly labor-intensive process (make the filling, make the dough, flatten the dough in the pasta maker, make the cute lil pillows of goodness), the end result was worth it. I may just go into the pasta-making business myself. I treat pasta as its own food group, after all.
