The Most Painful Item Ever

I got an ear cartilage piercing the other night. It wins the prize for most painful list item ever. The actual piercing process only took about 20 seconds. But this little piercing is wreaking havoc. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into. It’s cute, but my ear hurts, dammit. And it’s going to hurt for some time. If I mistakenly graze my ear while fixing my hair, it feels like Sugar Ray Leonard just boxed it. I am watching my ear like a hawk, expecting it to become infected and blow up like a balloon any minute. But when the healing process is over (in three to five months), I will love it!
