Human Rights Day 2011

Today is Human Rights Day. Join me in taking a moment to feel grateful for enjoying the basic human rights of freedom from fear, freedom from want, freedom of speech, and freedom of worship. (if you in fact have these freedoms where you live.)

Speaking of freedom of speech, Occupy Boston has been evicted. I’m glad the eviction process was somewhat peaceful and no one was injured.  I hope the protesters all around the world keep working on their message and keep the movement alive. The People Speak.

On a random happy note, I learned that the OtherSide Cafe is going to be open for a few weeks longer. So I’ll be able to go a few more times. This is why I love the OtherSide. It has a Christmas tree up, but only the top third is emblazoned in lights.
