Minority Report

I’m a member of a few different “minority” groups. I’m sure many of us are.

Personally, I am a minority in the following respects:

Handedness. I am a lefty. According to wikipedia, lefties comprise 10% of the population. (I know, take the statistics with a grain of salt.)

Personality. According to the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, I am an INFP. INFPs make up 4 to 5% of the population. It’s not the smallest percentage in the bunch, but it’s still small. 🙂

Height. Again, I’m citing wikipedia. Roughly 25% of women are 5’1″ or under. I happen to be 5’1″.

My membership in these groups has its challenges; overall, I’m fine with them all.

And here comes the but.

There is one minority club I belong to that is impeding my dating search. And it’s kind of mind boggling (to me).

I am childfree. I’m one who likes to keep her options open, but I’m pretty darn sure I don’t want to have kids. And I am kind of surprised that most men do. I am starting some experiments on Match.com with filters and will post the results. It should be interesting.
