Kiwis and Cookies

I order imperfect groceries from Misfits Market every so often, and sometimes it offers fruit I’ve never heard of. Like kiwi berries.

I like kiwi, so naturally I bought the kiwi berries. They’re basically miniature naked kiwis. I found the texture kind of strange, but they definitely tasted like kiwi! They were maybe slightly sweeter.

In other food news, I tried a new Girl Scout cookie flavor. I like to buy cookies every year from a troop of girls experiencing homelessness in New York City. I was a Girl Scout for many years, so I know firsthand what a great experience it is. Being an introvert, I still have PTSD from having to sell cookies door to door in my neighborhood….but what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger!

I love chocolate and marshmallow, so when I read that “Exploremores” were a take on Rocky Road, I ordered two boxes. I was pleased with the cookies….they are a bit small and could use some more “marshmallow and almond creme” flavor. But overall, they were a win in my book.
