Right at this moment, I have a headache. Right at this moment, my music student neighbors are jamming. Anyone have any creative ideas about how to deal with this situation? Would noise-cancelling headphones help at all? I’ve tried earplugs, but they don’t totally get rid of the noise. Maybe I should get a CD of nature sounds or something, and blast it to drown out the jamming. I live in a studio, so there is nowhere to escape from the noise. $#*$(#*$#($@@#$
They are currently playing the ’80s tune “Owner of a Lonely Heart.”
nance, barrett’s favorite combo for loud nights is a white noise machine and earplugs. the foam plugs that expand a little once they’re in your ears are the best.
White noise machine, intriguing. I have three different types of earplugs, ha ha. None of them have been able to drown out the noise. Maybe I need plugs, a big fan, AND a white noise machine.
Would running a fan help? I’m not sure if you’d still hear the music, but I know some people find the fan noise to be soothing.
I do like the noise of a fan! But I just have a small one and it is not powerful enough to drown out the jammin’…maybe I’ll get a bigger fan this summer. 🙂
