One Down, Thirty-six to Go

Let the games begin! For those of you who don’t know about my birthday list, this is the eighth year that I will be doing things I’ve never done between January 1 and May 31. This year I’ll be doing 37 new things, since that is the blasted age I’m turning.

So I finished the first item today: I went to a professional football game. The Patriots beat the Bills 49–21. The seats were great; the weather was great. Couldn’t ask for a warmer day in January. The Bills scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, so things were dicey at the start. But the Patriots woke up finally and turned it around.

The fans were fun, and god, there were a lot of them! The stadium seats almost 70K. It was a great way to start off a new year and another birthday list.
