I watched Double Indemnity last night. I’m working my way through AFI’s top 100 movies list as part of my birthday list, and this film is #38. It was a fantastic film noir. I was watching the movie in bed, but I was figuratively on the edge of my seat quite a few times. Fred MacMurray of My Three Sons fame was great as a bad guy, as was Barbara Stanwyck. And Edward G. Robinson was perfectly ornery, in a comical way. If you enjoy film noir and haven’t seen this yet, put it in the queue…
