I received my DNA kit in the mail the other day. What excitement! In the package was a bizarre plastic contraption that I had to spit into and a baggie with emblazoned with the biohazard label.
It took me a good five minutes to collect the necessary amount of saliva. After closing the contraption, some blue liquid was released into the saliva to neutralize the DNA. Or stabilize. Or something.
It may take two months to receive my results, so I’m not holding my breath. All will be revealed in due time.
