C Is for Cookie

I am embarking on my 20th birthday list! I can’t believe that I just typed that. Lots of emotions just flooded through me: surprise, gratitude, sadness. Mostly gratitude, but life is complicated, isn’t it?

I’ve had a late start to this year’s list, because I’ve been sick for most of January. Allen and I caught a nasty bug from my mom at the holidays. I’ve never popped so many drugs in my life. I was taking cold medicine, antibiotics and ear drops for an ear infection, Mucinex, two different nasal sprays…what a blur. I’m on the mend now.

We are just starting to go out in public again, and yesterday we went to a shopping area nearby that we like to stroll around once in a while. One of the reasons we visited yesterday was to buy cookies at a new shop called Chip City. We bought dark chocolate peanut butter, s’mores, cookies ‘n’ cream, mocha, and chocolate chip.

So far we’ve had the dark chocolate peanut butter: a chocolate cookie with peanut butter chips. It was great. I think I like Levain’s version a bit better, but it’s still VERY good. I’m excited to try all of the other flavors.
