Little Needles

I tried acupuncture for the first time last night. It was an…interesting experience. It really wasn’t painful, but it really wasn’t painless either. I felt some very strange sensations. Which my acupuncturist assured me meant that “it was working.”

I had 14 needles in me total. I felt strange sensations in four spots. Twenty-four hours later, one of the spots still feels strange. Is this normal??? I spooked myself by reading all the things that can go wrong during acupuncture (brain damage, punctured nerves, kidneys, etc.).

I may try it one more time. I like the idea of it…but not sure if I can deal with the funky sensations long-term.

So I think I have 13 things left on the list…
