‘Tis the eve of Groundhog Day, one of my mom’s favorite holidays. She sent me a membership card to the “Punxsy Phil’s Fan Club” as well as a cute handmade card.
Phil, I hope you do not see your shadow tomorrow! If I had given it some thought, I would have watched Groundhog Day tonight. I was busy watching High Noon. I used to think I wasn’t a fan of the western genre, but I always enjoy a good western when I see one. Gary Cooper was great (he won an Oscar for the role). I can’t stop humming the theme song (which also won an Oscar). It’s much better than humming “I Got You, Babe,” which I tend start doing whenever I think of Groundhog Day.
