while i like this, i just can’t ignore the sad feeling that this shouldn’t be a topic of conversation anymore. not for celebrities. not for any women who don’t choose it. i mean really, when are we going to be able to move beyond this whole being-on-the-earth-solely-to-bear-children thing? alas… i guess if it wasn’t an issue, we wouldn’t have things to blog about…
I agree…like Zooey said, why aren’t young men asked if they are having kids or how they feel about having kids, etc. I hope I see the day when being “childfree” is not a topic of conversation. Unfortunately, I think we will always be in the minority.
