Deep Fried…But Whole Wheat…

Our local pizza shop started serving Indian food. We tried it a few months ago and enjoyed it. We don’t eat much Indian food because there’s a dearth of the cuisine in our area. Also, I don’t do much in the way of spices, to put it mildly. See what I did there?

Mild is sometimes too spicy for me, depending on the cuisine. The pizza shop allows patrons to choose the spice level of a dish, which is great for people like me. I decided to try a new dish AND some deep-fried bread. Do I get credit for choosing a whole wheat version of deep-fried bread?

I had aloo gobhi, which is potatoes and cauliflower cooked with tomatoes and spices, and poori, which is deep-fried whole wheat bread. We also got an order of veggie samosas.

Everything was delicious, as usual. I love my Trader Joe’s chicken tikka masala, but sometimes, you need the real deal.
