Lifelong Learning

I just started a course about content strategy. The professor suggested we subscribe to Seth Godin‘s blog. I had heard his name before, but I didn’t know anything about him.

I subscribed, thinking that I could unsubscribe if I didn’t dig him. Two or three days after I subscribed, he mentioned in his daily blog post that he would be speaking with Chip Conley on LinkedIn that day or the next. They’d be discussing “transcending the Great Resignation.”

I was intrigued and had no obligations during their scheduled talk. So I tuned in. If you don’t know anything about them, they are thought leaders on the topics of marketing, business, psychology, lifelong learning, and entrepreneurship. Or at least that’s my assessment after watching them talk for an hour.

They were really interesting and talked about “big ideas.” I don’t have any takeaways as I didn’t take notes. But I’m now subscribed to Chip Conley’s blog as well. Their projects Modern Elder Academy and Akimbo seem to be about lifelong learning outside of the classroom and creating “cohorts” of like-minded learners.

I’m totally digging their ideas, as I consider myself a lifelong learner and wish that someone would pay me to learn things. Check them out if you’re of the same ilk…
