Coffee Chronicles

I love coffee, but it doesn’t enthusiastically agree with me anymore. It’s temperamental at best, so I usually only drink it a couple of times per week.

Since I only drink one cup at a time at home, I’ve been using an OXO pour-over coffeemaker, which works great for my needs. And now I have another OXO device in my arsenal, a cold brew coffeemaker.

I have no idea why I bought it. It was totally on a whim, after I read a random article on the internet. I thought, “cold brew sounds nice,” and I proceeded to order this coffeemaker online. I have to say that I love the ease of it. All you do is combine some coffee and water and let it sit for 12 to 24 hours.

In hindsight, I would have purchased a more compact cold brew contraption, since this one takes up a lot of space in a small kitchen. But I’m happy with it. It makes a good amount of concentrate, which you can store in your fridge for a few days.

And what’s better than coffee with a cause? I saw this Black Lives Matter coffee at my local farmstand and grabbed a can when I read on the can that 100% of the proceeds would go to local nonprofits that advance racial justice.

I had never heard of the coffee brand, so I looked it up. Nobl is out of New Hampshire. The BLM coffee is a cold-brewed dark roast and it is delicious. It made me want to try everything else that Nobl makes. It’s THAT GOOD.

Do you have a favorite brand of coffee? I also enjoy Super Coffee and drink it almost every week!
