It’s been two weeks since I started working remotely and trying to stay home as much as possible. It feels like two years. I hope you are all staying safe, social distancing, and disinfecting things like it was your full-time job. If you work for an essential business, THANK YOU. It’s not nearly enough, but THANK YOU.
Eating at a restaurant feels like a luxury now. A few weeks before the crisis arrived, Allen and I went to a local restaurant for our anniversary. It’s called Ten Tables…because it has ten tables. It was serving a prix fixe menu that night, which caught us unawares. But we greatly enjoyed our hard hot ciders, salad, brussels sprouts, salmon, steak, creme brulee, and olive oil cake.

It was a lovely evening with lovely waitstaff, and I hope the restaurant weathers this storm we are in. We’re trying to get takeout more than usual to support our neighborhood restaurants, and I hope you are too. Take care and stay safe.
