A Bierhalle in Belmont

Continuing with the Germany and beer theme, we ate at Trinktisch in Belmont, MA, a few weekends ago. Trinktisch is a beer hall that was started by the founders of the Craft Beer Cellar, which is one of Allen’s most favorite places in the Boston area. The store carries many, many beers and you can buy singles! So you don’t have to commit to a six-pack of something you’ve never had before.

Trinktisch is conveniently located outside of the store. We went on a hot Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. There are two indoor areas with long wooden tables and benches and a bar, as well as a small outdoor seating area.

Allen ordered a hot dog and sauerkraut, and I ordered pretzel bites and potato salad…which was served hot! The menu warned that it would be served hot—which I appreciated, as I had never had hot potato salad before.

Everything was delicious. Allen has German heritage and gave a thumbs-up to the ‘kraut and potato salad. For bevvies, Allen had a Val-Dieu on draft, which he had only had on draft once before. I had a local Kolsch. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
